My 7-month old has really loose stools, what should I do?

This is actually not all that unusual. If it worries you, try changing his formula or baby food. You could also consult his pediatrician, but it is probably nothing.

If your baby doesn't have a fever, it is probably being caused by the teething process. For potential dehydration, make sure you use Pedialyte or something comparable.

If you have gone to a doctor and confirmed that your child is not ill, get diapers with elastic around the legs and try to be patient until toilet training. if you are nursing, lay off the very spicy food as hot spices can affect the speed of your child's digestion.

For a seven month old with loose stools you should start the brat diet. Bananna's, Rice, Apples and toast, this will help to reduce the loose stools and bulk him up. Avoid giving him milk or milk based products as it takes the body longer to digest these products and will result in him or her not getting nutrients/
