Tonic water can be a beneficial to a heart healthy diet because this would replace beverages such as sugary sodas, coffee, or whole milk which can be heart damaging. Drinking 6 to 8 glasses of water a day is essential in a healthy diet along with some form of exercise 3-5 times a week.

It has absolutely no positive effects. Unfortunately, since tonic water is sugared (even if it is bitter) it has negative effects on your diet and thus on your heart.
