Yes. Sulfuric acid is extremely corrosive chemical, even more so than well-known hydrochloric acid. In chemistry laboratories, sulfuric acid is used in different dilutions. Even the most diluted form could easily irritate the skin.

This statement is true. Living organisms require a controlled pH (acid/base) to live in. Sulfuric acid has a very low pH, low enough to "denature" proteins. In pure sulfuric acid, most organisms cannot survive. Sulfuric acid is most often diluted in water or with a base, lowering its acidity, making it less toxic to organisms.
