A water valve on your fridge would be going to the ice maker. There is also a water tray under the fridge.

There is usually a water tube that comes from the wall to the back of the refrigerator. There is usually a valve where the tubing connects to the wall. In some cases the tubing is run from a saddle valve attached to a cold water pipe, usually found under the kitchen sink.
