Tea tree oil is excellent for poison ivy IF you are not allergic to the oil. You must test the tea tree oil for sensitivity first.

It is wonderful for poison ivy, for it will dry it out. You can either use tea tree oil full strength or dulute it to a 50/50 mix with water.

It is! Tea tree oil reduces itchiness. Apply the tea tree oil with a Q tip. You can also combine it with baking soda, too. After applying, cover the area with gauze.
