While the exact cause of stomatitis in cats is unknown, it is most likely caused by a hypersensitivity to the natural plaque bacteria that builds up in the mouth. Good dental hygiene can both prevent and treat stomatitis. Tarter control treats and dental care diet may be beneficial for treatment.

It might be. It is probably from eating too cheap food and the cheap food hurts their tummies and makes it all inflamed. This makes the cat irritable so stay away.

Stomatitis is the result of a cat's dental condition. Cats with stomatitis have bad breath. Some cat breeds are just more prone because of the shape of their mouths.
