You will come out of law school with the ability to get a job and the potential to make a lot of money. At the same time you will be able to help people which is always a good thing.

There are over a million people with law degrees in the United States; many lawyers are having trouble making a living. If you want to make a living in the legal profession, become a paralegal; it is less schooling, and with a better outcome. People can afford a paralegal.

Law school can provide you with high-paying skills. It also provides you with the ability to analyze facts and to create persuasive argument, both of which are transferable skills. Meaning, you can take these skills to jobs other than the practice of law.

If you *really* want a career that you can only get from law, yes. Otherwise it IS hard and expensive. Just finished 1L and HATE it, but will stay because it's the only way to achieve my longterm goals and it is supposed to get better after first year.

It depends upon why you want to go. Many people go to law school only to seek high paying jobs. If this is your goal, it is not worth it. If you want to work for justice, it can be a rewarding career, however.
