Bananas contain alot potassium, and too much potassium can severely mess up the body's chemistry. The durian fruit contains large amounts of potassium and one woman who durian every day had major issues and was featured in a previous issue of Discover magazine. Durian has about 530mg of potassium and bananas 300mg, best advice would be consulting your doctor.

Bananas are not dangerous foods by any means, but as with anything, it is possible to have too much of a good thing. They have about 12-13% of your daily allowance of potassium, so in theory you could overdose on potassium and end up with heart trouble from too many.

Bananas are healthy, but they have a lot of sugar in them. All foods should be eaten in moderation to be healthy.
