Is it possible to change the door locking actuators on a Dodge Durango yourself?

It's a 2000.

It's possible to replace just about everything on a vehicle. It's simply a process of removing the door panel, removing the old actuator and replacing it with the new. There's nothing really specialized about it. You might need some atypical screwdrivers to get the door off.

Yes, it's possible. You have to remove the door panel, then find the actuator, drill out the factory rivits that hold it in, disconnect the linkage, remove the unit and wiring. Do the process in reverse and remount the actuator with nut and bolt.

Yes, it is possible to change it yourself. Everything on the car can be changed or repaired. You will need to remove the door panel and then look for the locking actuator. If you could find it, then remove it with a drill. Then remove the actuator and the wiring and your good to go.
