Yes a wasp is normally dark with dark tinted wings. Many people think a wasp has some yellow on it similar to bees and hornets but they do not. Most wasps are larger than bees and slightly more agressive. Some wasps are actually black instead of the usually brown color.

How big is this wasp? The most common wasp seen, especially in houses in the spring and fall, is the paper wasp. It's actually the female wasp that overwinters in your house. The male wasps die off in the winter after they mate. They do have a painful sting, so be careful!

Yes you are actually right. A wasp has a circular body that is usually brown and beige in color. The wings are a darker shade of brown and they are more black than brown.

A mud dauber wasp has a dark brown or black body with dark brown/black wings. They are common in most of the US and will construct large tube shaped nests that look like the are made of mud.

It most certainly could be. There are a lot of different wasps species. Some are black, with yellow strips and some are red or other colors. A paper wasp has a brown body and black see through wings.

The wasp has thin, transparent brown wings with black and yellow stripes. One bug with the brown body and black wings may possibly be a termite. If you find either bugs in or around your home you will want to call an exterminator immediately.

No a wasp typically will have a black body and brown wings but they do come in different colors and species. I've never seen a brown wasp.
