You should not let money be the deciding factor in whether to get a divorce. If your marriage is broken beyond repair, you need to get a divorce. No amount of money can make it worthwhile to remain in an unhappy marriage.

That all depends on why you are getting divorced in the first place. There is help out there to pay for divorce if you are married to an abusive spouse. There is also legal aid for low income people. You can also ask for your spouse to be ordered to pay for the divorce depending on circumstances.

If a divorce is too costly, why not try a legal separation? It doesn't cost anything, you and your spouse live separately, yet still share expenses as far as health care and anything concerning children if any are involved. If your spouse doesn't agree to that, then have them pay for the divorce.

That all depends on why you want the divorce and what the circumstances is to the relationship. If you are being abused, if you are your children are in danger then you should leave.
