You can give your child age appropriate information in small amounts. You should begin when he is very small and give him more information as he gets older.

You need to approach this carefully. Make sure that the child is old enough to comprehend what you are trying to tell him/her. Tell your child that you really aren't his real parent, but that you adopted him/her because you love him. Tell the child that just because you aren't his biological father doesn't mean you don't love him.
