How should I take care of a baby cardinal?

The best thing to do is put the bird back into its nest. The parent of the young bird will not know that you handled the bird. Avians do not have a good sense of smell. If the bird still has it's down feathers the chances of you being able to keep it alive are small.

Well make sure you feed the cardinal at the appropriate times. Never miss a feeding as it is very vital for the health of the cardinal baby. Therefore, also give it water.

Ideally, you should take it to a wild bird rescue. Google can probably help you find one in your area.

you will have to spoon feed it and give it real soft food and feed them at lest 5 to 6 time a day

Well depending if the bird is a fledgling or a juvenile the cares will vary, but in general you should make sure that its in a warm safe place (a kleenex box for example) and try giving it some mashed up hard boiled eggs and some water by hand or a sirenge but be careful not to harm the bird.
