The thing to remember about maidenhair ferns is that they like stability. They'll put up with a slight chill, a little dryness and even some direct morning light. What they don't like is to be moved around. So pick a spot, indoors or out that has shade to dappled sun, with steady temperatures and loamy soil.

You should keep your maidenhair fern in the shade. Make sure th soil is moist, and not soaking wet. In the winter you can cut back on watering, but do not let the soil get too dry. You should also groom your fern regularly.

The main requirement for keeping a maidenhair fern in a house (particularly one with central heating) is that it gets enough water. I usually stand it in a saucer of water. Regular misting with warmish water is also beneficial. In fact these plants thrive in a moist environment such as a bathroom.

Place your plant in a location that gets bright shade. You will want to keep the soil consistently moist without being soggy and use a humidity tray underneath the plant.

Make sure that the soil is evenly moist and doesn't get completely dry. Use pebbles under the soil and moss on top to keep even moisture.

Find one place in the home where it will get enough natural lighting and humidity. Leave it there. Fertilize every two weeks in the summer. Don't place in bathroom.

They are typically grown inside. They should be planted in a highly fertile and well drained soil. Place in a bright, indirect sunny area. Water 2-3 times a week.

Keep the temperature and humidity steady and do not move plant. Give it moderate light or filtered sunlight, not direct sunlight. Keep soil moist. Using a pebble water tray beneath it will keep good humidity level.
