You should get down to the child's level and speak to them in a calm voice about why you are unhappy with their behavior choice. If they continue to misbehave, you give them a time out (one minute for how many years old they are). After the time out, hug your child and talk to them about their behavior.

lots of people use the time out method, that is sitting a child some where alone to think about what he has done, experts say 1 min. per year of age is long enough, another way is to whisper instead of yell this causes them to stop and listen to what you are saying, I think it shocks them.

Time out usually works well. They should not stay in time-out too long. About one minute of time out for every year old the child is. Taking away priviledges or tv is good also. Make sure you tell them up front how long the restriction is for. Don't change your mind in the middle of the punishment.

Try 1 2 3 parenting for Christin parents. It is a great form of discipline that will eliminate the need to yell. Stay consistent with what every you do and if you say something stand by it. the main thing to remember is to be consistent in what you do
