How much should I expect to pay to replace the alternator in a Toyota Corolla?

It's a 2001 model.

Toyota technician here- the replacement is a very simple job, should be rated at around 1 hour labor at the most. The alternator shouldn't be more than $150. Any half-decent technician can do this job.

$40 to $120 for a "remanufactured" alternator, which uses new internal components in a used housing. You must turn in your old one so they can remanufacture it.

The alternator is an expensive piece and it should be done with care so you wont ever mess it up while you are repairing it it is essential to use extreme caution and be extremely delicate when intalling a new alternator on a toyota corolla as they are later model cars
