Rice is good for about a year. You have to make sure there aren't any bugs in it. Also, as rice hardens it will become harder and harder to cook it, and after a year, rice might be so hard that it will not turn out at all. Happy rice eating!

Grain products, when stored properly, usually last up to a year; I would use the expiration date, or 'use by' date provided by the manufacturer. Just as important, is a visual inspection to make sure there are no bugs in the container. The storage temperature will also impact the quality. When in doubt, 'throw it out'!

Well, look at the expiry label on the back. But in general it should be okay to eat because you have to boil it.

Rice can stay good for a months even years, especially if it is sealed in an air tight container or kept in the refridgerator. Rice doesn't go bad, however when not stored properly, rice can attract many bugs, including mealworms. You should first check for any bugs or larva before cooking.

Brown rice is good for up to six months. White rice is good, if sealed in a package, for 12 months. Any rice older than this should be discarded because it is likely no longer safe to eat. So no, don't eat it, cooked or used in any other form.

White rice, if stored correctly, can have a long shelf life. Brown rice, which contains oil, can go rancid. It must be refridgerated and will only last for 3 to 6 months. If you are "IFIE" about a product, dont take the chance just throw it out.

As long as there are no bugs in it and it smells ok then it is ok to cook and eat it.

Well, what you do is, follow the directions on the box as far as boiling the rice. If after the amount of time of proper boiling has taken place and the rice is nice and white and fluffy, get a fork and have at it.
