Fresh herbs are a great way to add flavor to any rice dish. Just cook rice as you would- add a bit of olive oil or unsalted butter, freshly chopped herbs such as basil, parsley, thyme, and/or rosemary and serve!

Any rice dish can have the salt omitted. Or you can try replacing the salt with a "no-salt" substitute. Orzo isn't a rice, but has similar qualities and has more flavor depth then rice! Cooking Orzo with vegetables or meat gives you flavor with out all the salt!

Instead of adding salt to the dish add spices like pepper, Mrs. Dash, Paprika to anything and Onion Powder, and Garlic Powder to your rice dishes. Broccoli and Chesse rice.
