It depends on your age, weight, metabolism, etc. Diazepam or Valium has the half life between 20 hours and 80 hours. The half life is the time necessary for 1/2 the drug to be eliminated from the body. It has a long elimination half life comparing to other Benzodiazepines drugs, therefore it may have less severe withdrawal symptoms.
