A good rule of thumb is 3 hours. Most major league baseballs games last from 2 hours, 30 minutes, to four hours or more if extra innings are required

Baseball games can differ greatly in how it lasts. Obviously, a game is nine innings, but whether or not it goes to the bottom of the ninth depends if the home team is winning or losing. Games on average can last anywhere between just over two hours, to over four hours long.
