Paint is comprised of three seperate things working together; A pigment, a binder, and a carrier. the binder and the carrier are used glue the pigment color to the surface.

Basically paint is made of two things. A binder contains a special blend of pigments that are combined to make a certain color. Each company has proprietary chemical but some used similar pigment material. The binder can be anything from acrylic to latex.
