How is Christianity a continuation of the Judaism?

Jesus was a Jew. Many, but not all, of his teachings explain or expand upon the Hebrew scriptures. Early Christians were Jews, and it was only when the Jews rejected them that they began to form a new religion. Hebrew scriptures and history are important in Christian theology.

Judaism uses the Old Testament of the christian Bible. Christianity uses both the Old and New Testament of the Bible. The new Testament begins with the birth of Jesus.
