If your cat has welts, they may be allergic to something. Check to see if food ingredients have changed, or if laundry detergent/cleaning products/etc have changed. You can give your cat benadryl (1mg for 1 pound of weight) but be sure to check with your veterinarian as well.

Do you know what the welts are from? They could be due to an allergic reaction of some kind, so it's best to consider taking your cat to the vet to determine the cause.

I think the best way to treat them would to go to a vet. The vet would know more about that than I would. It could be lots of things including cancer.

Welts typically indicate either a localized or systemic allergic reaction. If your cat has only one or two welts and no other symptoms, they should resolve on their own within 24 hours. If your feline has other symptoms such as lethargy or trouble breathing, see a vet.

Make sure the wound stays clean and that is doesn't get infected. Put an antibiotic ointment on it to help with the healing.

generally you would want to bring it into a vet to get tested as it usually indicates an allergy of some type.
