If you're already a designer, one place you can start your business is on the crafting website etsy. You can sell original pieces or take custom orders. Many people go to this website looking for new and interesting clothing. Eventually, you may be able to sell some pieces to boutiques.

To start a fashion business you'd need, a sense of what fashions are current, yet a capability to combine old with new so that your ideas are familiar yet original to the consumer. If you're desiging clothing you'd need some sort of backer to bring your ideas into fruition. If you do retail then you need capital and demographic information
