How do you set garage sale prices?

I want people to be encouraged to negotiate.

A good way is to group products by price range, like under $5, $5-15, $20-40, over $50. This way people have a loose idea but can still negotiate. If you're more desperate for funds, put up a big sign that says 'everything must go', or 'will negotiate'.

Go with your gut instinct. That always works for me. Ask yourself what you would pay for the items your selling then go up by a little bit.
