Buy yourself a kit from home depot that is for Granite and Marble Cleaner because I have both in my house there is a spray that cleans the countertop of any dirt or grime. The second is a stain remover that removes soap scum and other stains like from cups that stain the countertop. The last thing is the polish.

Try soaking the counter top in a mixture of water and baking-soda. Place it on the countertop and let it stay for about thirty minutes. Then wipe clean and repeat until it is removed.

It is best to clean any spills as soon as possible once noticed. Try not to use any harsh cleaning liquids or abrasive wipes as they might harm the marble surface. It is generally recommended to use a soft sponge to remove the stain. Once cleaned, you should rinse and dry the area.

Depending on the stain it may not come out. Elbow grease is sometime the easiest but a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is the best thing since sliced bread. You can find them at the grocery store. I've used it for everything, even permanent marker. Good luck.

Take a paper towel and saturate with bleach. Put the bleach soaked paper towel over the stain and lay a plastic bag over it. Let stain for 24-48 hours.

You can either get some strong orange lacquer and place it on the marble stain and let it marinate for a few hours then wipe it off with a cloth, or use 40% proof alcohol or better and do the same thing.
