You can lay marble over existing marble. firstly make surface of existing marble rough. Apply australian glue uniformly over existing surface and place the new marble over it. If the work is to be done inside your room, bottom of doors are to be cut a little otherwise it will touch over the new marble.

If you put down an appropriate layer of the right adhesive, you probably could do this, but remember that you will affect doorways, floor levels between rooms, and other such changes. You may have to shave off the bottoms of doors and change saddles between rooms.

No, you have to remove the bottom layer and put the new layer down. The marble is to heavy to be place on top of another piece of marble and it will crack.

If you are installing marble tile, you will need to remove the old tile as the first step in preparing the surface for the new tile. Existing marble would not provide the necessary stability under the new floor, and the mortar and grout will not adhere properly to the old tiles.
