How do you keep guacamole from turning brown overnight?

I cover it but it always ends up looking like poo.

I'm only guessing, but I think making it as air-tight as possible would help. Try putting very tightly sealed saran wrap on it with as little exposed air underneath as possible. Also, maybe putting a few drops of lemon juice on top before doing so would also be beneficial.

Add lemon or lime juice, keep the pit and add it back in. Take some plastic wrap and cover the guacamole on its surface so that no air touches it, then store it in the refrigerator. Open it when you are ready to eat.

I believe the best way is to find a recipe that requires some lemon juice and that way the color will not change.

You can put a little bit of fresh lime or lemon juice in it. I have always had luck doing that when I make it, too. Even if it is brown it still tastes the same, though,
