In order to get methadone generally you need to go to a drug rehab facility. It is unlikely that a doctor will prescribe this to you for anything other then getting over severe drug addictions, such as morphine or heroin. It does help for pain related to drug addiction.

methadone is legally prescribed in some places for assistance in managing drug addiction so can be obtained from qualified medical practitioners and/or drug dependency clinics under statutory regulations. It is itself however a drug of addiction and its use should be carefully monitored. It does have analgesic or pain killing properties being an opiate type drug or narcotic.

It does help for pain, often when narcotics fail. It also helps with addiction to narcotics. As it is a controlled substance, you will have to see a doctor and prove to the doctor that it is really needed before you will be able to secure the prescription for the drug.

The easiest way to get this medicine is through a pain management doctor and if used correctly will knock out your pain.
