Local parts houses always offer free diagnostics. Take it to them and they will tell you what the code means, and its free of charge! To do it yourself would be far more expensive, the diagnostic tools run upwards of several hundred dollars. And the probability that you would use it more than once or twice is lose.

First, check the fluid. If the level is fine, the best thing would be to have the computer codes checked at an auto parts store; most will do it for free. Also, some transmission repair shops will check it out and give you an estimate for free, but others will try to charge a fee.

There are a couple of things you might consider, firstly start the car and see if it's running cold, the transmission might be the root cause if it's slipping or "squeaking", If the fuse box is the problem you might notice your battery warning light is always on, check the battery.

It is rather the symptoms than diagnosis I'm giving you. When you put it to park or neutral the vehicle still craws very slowly. Second, when you shift to drive the pull is not evident. Worst, when you shift to drive it doesn't move at all.

Check fluid and take it to a auto part store that let you get a free diagnostic test to see whats causing it to fail. Make sure its not out of fluid. Hopefully its a real minor issue that can get easily resolved.
