How do you determine who owns a cemetery plot?

There are several plots around my family's plots that I would like to purchase, however I have no idea who owns them.

The cemetery must have a listing of who owns all the plots. If they are of no help put an ad in the papers.

Normally cemetery plots are owned by the church itself. I am not sure whether you contacted the church already. Even if the cemetery is not owned by the church, you can find it out by contacting the guys look after it. For rates contact your real estate broker.

Talk to the management company that maintains the cemetary. They should have the information on who owns the plots because they send them annual bills. They may not want to give the information to you but may contact them on your behalf.
