As long as the mother is healthy she will take care of the pups. Be sure to take them to the vet for a checkup.

In this way, pit bulls are not much different than any other dogs. The mother dog will generally take care of them until time to wean them (6-8 weeks). Of course they need a place that is clean, warm and dry, and the mother will need plenty of food and water.

The mother will do most of the work when it comes to taking care of puppies. An owner's responsibility is to make sure their welping area is clean and safe.

Keep with mother for at least 6 weeks. Keep them warm. Make sure they are eating atleast every 2 hours. Keep the area they are in clean.

Basically just take care of the mom and she will take care of the puppies for the first couple weeks. Just make sure the puppies' box stays clean.
