In women who are post menopausal, uterine cancer is usually detected by evaluating unexpected vaginal bleeding. In pre menopausal women, the size of the uterus is evaluated during a routine exam. If enlarged, further testing (such as Ultrasound or CAT scans) are done to see what the problem is.

Cervical cancer can be screened for during pap smears. Also when the doctor does a pap there will be cells excreted by the uterus that the test will pick up as being cancerous. They usually follow up with blood tests and ultra sounds or ct scans. The blood tests are cancer markers. They'll tell you how progressed the cancer is.

Your urologist will have several tests that will determine if you have cancer or not. The screen test is the most common. The patient urinates through a window screen and any residue that gathers on the screen is tested.

uterine cancer is screened by taking a biopsy of the endometrial lining. Many times symptoms such as abnormal bleeding or pain are reasons for the biopsy. there is no typical screening for this type of cancer however.
