How do sign up for Sprint prepaid when I already own a Sprint phone?

You need to call the Sprint customer service and see if the phone you own is eligible for prepaid service contract. If not, you would have to get a differnt kind of phone model.

You can call customer service from a land line and they can give you the codes to change your phone over.

All you need to do is dial *2 on your phone and if it is owned by sprint it should connect you to customer care, go from there.

Sprint prepaid is separate from Sprint mobile phone plans. You cannot convert your current plan to prepaid. You would need to finish your original contract. The prepay plan is separate.

One way to switch to a prepaid Sprint plan is to sign up for Boost. It is an easy transition, and if you are able to keep your old phone (Nextel brand) and number, they will give you $50 towards any cancellation fees you may owe to Sprint. We changed over to Boost last month and have not been sorry.

Well, I know that you can do it with T-Mobile quite easily. All you have to do is take it into the store and ask for it.
