Folliculitis can be treated with antibiotic ointments applied to the affected area. Also, supplementation with GLA and Omega 3 can promote healthy growth of hair and skin. Hypnotherapy might also be an option, as it has been proven to be effective for skin conditions. Check for other skin conditions, diabetes and wear loose fitting clothing. Username: Jalucia

Folliculitis is infection of hair follicles. Mild forms of folliculitis will usually go away on its own. Washing the area with antibacterial soap may help. Burrow's solution or vinegar soaks can be used 3-6 times daily to help with the itching that may accompany folliculitis. If it does not go away then visit your physician.

You will want to take an anti inflammatory and see a dermatologist. You may have a fungus that needs anti fungal medication to clear up the inflammation. Or possiblly a skin allergy.
