When I burn myself cooking and a blister forms I put the burnt part in a glass of cool water - if that's not possible, I put a cool wet cloth on it or ice. After the pain has subsided I put a band-aid over the blister to protect it.

The best treatment for burns is a sterile dressing. Keep the dressing clean and dry. Usually doctors frown on over the counter burn ointments. Let any blisters open on their own and don't pick at blisters. Any signs of infection should be treated by a doctor. Any large burns should be seen by a doctor right away.
