Mimosa seedlings need medium light and a temperature of 60-70 degrees. Take care not to overwater. Because the root system is sensitive, planting in peat cups that can be planted directly in the ground is recommended.

The planting of the seeds would be the same as any other tree seedling. You should know the mimosa are considered an invasive plant in many areas because it can take over and crowd out native species. Check with your local extension service or agriculture department before planting.

Plant in direct sunlight. Mimosa likes heat and does not require a lot of water, very drought resistant. Frequently trim off dead or damaged branches. fertilize in early spring, prior to new growth and keep a watch for yellowing which may indicate fungal infection- it is very important to guard against that.

First of all, the mimosa seeds should be left to freeze the whole night. Then boiled water should be poured over them. This will give the seeds scarification to sprout. You can also damage the seed coat with a sharp instrument. Soak the seeds for 24 hours because softness is essential for germination. Plant them in a pot at a sunny place.
