First, you introduce yourself. Tell this person your name, and ask them for theirs. If you're in a public setting, you can try and spark up a conversation about where you guys are. For example; if you're at a coffee shop, you can ask them what their favourite drink is. Just be easy going and funny!

Make it about that person, not yourself. Ask the person about likes, dislikes, family members, and pets. Keep it casual at first because some people will react negatively if they think you're being intrusive. Above all, be yourself. There's no point pretending you're someone else. Just relax, smile, and listen to what your new friend has to say.

It's not really as complicated as you might assume. Naturally, conversation is primary in the process of becoming acquainted with someone new. Also, try engaging in some common activities together.

If you just met someone that you want to continue seeing, engage them in conversation. Keep asking them questions about themselves. While they are talking about themselves, they will think you are a great conversationalist. Find out what they do for fun and see if you have anything in common. Request phone number to continue contact.
