You'd have to go into tools and click on out of office assistant. It should be there automatically in Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007 when using exchange, then click on "I am currently out of the office radio box" and type a message you like others to see into the Reply box.

Look in the top menu for Tools, Out of Office Assistant. Then write you away message in the box provided and click "I am out of the office". This is automaticly reply to all incoming e-mails with your away message.

If your popping your mail, you better off using the server webmail. Log into the webmail instead of outlook express. Usually there is a vacation message you can enable.

This only works if you are always online. Create a rule for all messages. Choose action, answer with message. For the last step choose the message, with which you want to answer.
