You would highlight the row of data that you wish to move and then you would click 'copy' by either a right-click or by going to 'edit' then 'copy'. Then you would click on the cell where you want the data to start and hit 'paste special' and 'transpose'. That will do it.

All you need to do, is select your horizontal data, press copy. Then, on empty area (shouldn't cross existing data), press menu "Edit"-->"Paste Special", and on the bottom of appeared window, and select the Transpose check box. Press Ok. Excel will transpose the column and row labels and data.

While in Excel, highlight the data you wish to move, right click and select "Copy". Right click the vertical cell you wish to begin the data with and select "Paste Special... ". In "Paste Special... " select "Transpose" and the data from the horizontal cells will now be pasted into the vertical cells.

At first select your horizontal data and right click and select "Copy". Now on empty area right click and from drop down menu select "Paste Special". From "Paste Special" select "Transpose" and choose "all" and all the selected data from the horizontal cells will now be pasted into the vertical cells.

Select the data you want to make vertical. Instead of ctrl+P to paste, go under the menu and use "paste special" and it will have that option.

To make out of columns rows and vice versa, you have to copy the data you want to turn (CTRL + C). After that go to the edit menu, then click on paste data. Now a dialog appears. In this dialog activate the checkbox transpose and choose "all", then click ok.
