Most studies suggest taking glucosamine will not effect gout, good or bad. The same goes with taking chondroitin. Bromelain and red cover seem to help with gout really well.

There is no clinical evidence that Glucosamine Chondroitin (GC) helps prevent or treat gout. Gout is caused by uric acid deposits in the joints. GC alleviates the symptoms of osteoarthritis.

yes, chondroitin and glucosamine may help gout, since gout is really short for gouty arthritis. Chondroitin and glucosamine are known to help out with arthritis and degeneration in the joints of the body. A diagnosis of gout should be obtained before using herbal remedies that may not be effective it is a different condition.

No. Gout is the result of uric acids building up in the bloodstream. The condition is directly linked to the consumption of alcoholic beverages, especially beer.

No, chondroitin and glucosamine have no impact on gout. Chondroitin and glucosamine only have limited benefit for arthritis. If your arthritis is caused by gout, get treatment for the gout.

No they do not, and may infact make it worse. Chrondroitin and glucosamine supplements are a peptide based primarily, they also contain impurities like DNA etc. Gout is caused by a failure of the body to excete uric acid, which is a break down of nucleotides, which are the building blocks of DNA. Limit your uric acid high foods.

Sometimes this medication can be helpful for gout. It is considered to help many different kinds of illness/sickness. It is an anit-inflamatory medication. To assure you are taking the proper medications, you should always consult your physician about what is best for you and your illness. If it is seeming to help you, I would stick with it.
