Saakasvili, the Armenian Prime Minister, is facing tremendous domestic opposition from various sectors of society. This opposition has been growing as a result of his polarizing political actions, including his dismal treatment of political opponents. However, as long Saakasvilli has the support of the military, he will be able to clamp down on the opposition and maintain his rule.

No, Saakasvili, will not resign. He will, however, have a troubled term as he has been adept at consolidating a popular electoral base. This "chrisimatic" approach leaves him open to critics who say his presidency is based more on personality than substance. Despite that he still has a loyal base and support from the west and he knows it.

Although it's impossible to know the mind of a politician, it is unlikely that President Mikheil Saakashvili will resign from his office, especially considering what he has already endured.

I do not think that Saakasvili will decide to resign. It is more likely he will have to be forced out.
