Do woodpeckers like maple trees?

I want to plant some trees that woodpeckers do not like.

It's not the TREE; it's the insects. Woodpeckers eat insects that bore beneath the bark. They only peck at infested trees. Maples don't have many wood-boring pests.

I'm afraid that woodpeckers do like maple trees. I'm not really sure what they don't like, but an oak tree might be too hard for its beak. Worth a try.

No doubt, woodpeckers like maple trees. In fact, it is not the tree they like. They are after the insects in the tree.

Woodpeckers are very likes the maple trees. The cause is they caught the small insects inside the tree,so drill the trees about 5-10 inches. Drilling of trees causes to low the power of tree and it destroy very easily. But a way to avoid these woodpeckers that is take some white latex paint and mix with water. Then paint on the tree.
