Snails need to be in a moist environment,a glass aquarium away from sunlight is the best. Place a dish of water inside the tank. Snails need to hide under something during the day, use some rocks or other items and let them eat some vegetables and leafs.

Snails can be very easy pets to keep. A plastic or a glass aquarium with garden soil or peat for the bottom works best. Snails like to hide under things so place leaves, rocks or bark in your tank. Spray the sides of the tank daily with water to keep moist and offer a variety of greens to eat.

Snails can live in a terrarium, which has sand, rocks and other good hiding places. Provide your snail also a slightly wet atmosphere, a little fresh water and fresh salad or other non-toxic green food.

A tank with lots of algae and declorinated water is all you need. You could add a flake or two of fish food once or twice a week as a treat for the snails, they'll eat that too. Set up a small tank on a bright window sill to encourage the algae growth. Breeding snail.
