Yes. However you will need to lower the compression, put in new fuel injectors with more flow, reprogram the computer, change the intake to a mass air instead of a speed density system. Anything can be done with unlimited money and resources. Do I recommend it? No. However if it's a V8 it is similar to a mustang motor.

You can put a supercharger on pretty much any engine. If there are kit available then your in luck but in some case you need to fabricate your own parts.

Actually yes you can supercharge a cougar XR7 and the labor is not difficult. The problem with doing so is the parts for this particular upgrade is one that was not mass produced. Find the parts for it and you can supercharge or turbo a cougar XR7 with very little difficulties.

Yes, you can put a supercharger on any internal combustion engine. However, the Cougar XR7 came from the factory with a supercharger.
