NEVER give your dog Clariton-D! It contains pseudoephedrine which can be toxic to dogs. Vets are more likely to suggest antihistamines such as Benadryl, which is very effective and safe for dogs. Please call your vet to find out the correct dosage, the wrong dose can be dangerous.

Vets will actually recommend Benadryl over any thing else if you dog has allergies. You will want to find out the correct dosage for your dog according to weight.

No, you can not give your god Clariton as it contains Acetaminophen and that can be very harmful to your god. You may try giving him Benedryl or baby aspirin as they should not hurt the dog. The wise thing is take your dog to the vet to be safe then sorry.

Claritin is not recommended for use in dogs, due to ineffectiveness and possible serious side effects. Benadryl, however, is generally considered both safe and effective when given in appropriate dosages.
