Can I change lawyers in the middle of my custody case?

You're required to pay for services rendered (unless they acted improperly), but the lawyer works for YOU, and you can dismiss without even giving cause. It's your choice not theirs.

Yes, you can change lawyers in the middle of any case, including custody. However, you will still owe any fees to the first attorney based on billable hours and services rendered.

Yes, the lawyers can be changed in the middle of the custody case if you have no full trust in the existing lawyer or lawyers engaged due to any reason.

I don't think it would be possible to change your lawyer in the middle of the case. But you could consult another lawyer to actually find out for sure. I honestly don't think it is possible though. But consult another lawyer just to make sure if it is alright to do
