Can ducks at the park eat something other than bread?

I would think they'd like variety.

To ducks, bread is like candy, not that good for them. They often times like fresh greens such as dandelion green, clover or baby greens. Other things you can feed include cracked corn or non-medicated game feed. Special treats could be popcorn (no salt or butter), mealworms, and believe it or not, scrambled eggs.

Bread is not good for ducks. When I go to the park with my kids to feed the ducks we always stop at our local feed shop on the way. We can purchase a very large bag of bulk duck feed for less than five dollars. As this food is made for ducks it is alot healthier for them.

Ducks in the wild eat algae, but since people can't get algae at the store they usually get bread or crackers. Maybe you could try getting something else fluffy that rises, or try giving them bird seed and see what they do. Animals usually know what's good for them, so I would't worry too much about giving them something bad.
