The liver converts white bread to sugar which raises triglyceride levels. Whole grain breads are a much healthier option. Limit your intake of alcohol, sugar and fatty foods to help lower triglyceride levels.

A high triglyceride level can be caused by eating a large amount of carbohydrates; however, there are many other causes. Certain medications can elevate triglyceride levels. In addition, certain medical disorders, such as obesity, kidney disease, diabetes, and hypothyroidism, can cause a high triglyceride level. One should exercise and watch the amount of fat and sugar they eat.

Diets which are high in carbohydrates like starchy foods such as pasta, rice, potato, and bread can raise your tryglycerides. You also have to avoid foods which contains refined sugar like cookies, cakes, and bread. Instead you can opt to eat bread whih are whole wheat or whch have additional fiver content such as bran. This uses less sugar.
