A floor manager at a TV station has various tasks, including taking care of props on set as well as technical equipment. Making sure anchors receive their cues on time is another part of a floor managers job. The floor manager is an integral part in communications between the director and the anchors/reporters on the floor.

They make sure the camera operators, technicians and on camera talent are doing their jobs. He keeps everything moving smoothly.

The floor manager sets the tv programmes. He selects the programme timings. He have to go through all activities such as handling, telecasting, settings of the stage. In one word he is all rounder.
