Making sure anchors receive their cues on time is another part of a floor managers job. The floor manager is an integral part in communications between the director and the anchors/reporters on the floor.

The floor manager sets the tv programmes. He selects the programme timings. He have to go through all activities such as handling, telecasting, settings of the stage. In one word he is all rounder.
